Sorry, mispoke.  Meant to say, if Horde is setup to use IMP for authentication
then it should work.  Doesn't matter where the browser is pointed, or where
the web server main directory points.

In theory, IMHO, the change would just be changing the first 'horde' to 'imp'
but I've not tested that.
