[sork] passwd-2.2 + poppassd-ceti-1.8.3 = password did not change

Hello everybody,
I am running: horde-2.2.4; imp-3.2.2; turba-1.2.1; passwd-2.2 with poppassd-ceti-1.8.3 on redhat linux 9. All of parts run fine but change password.
After I submitted form change password I received: "password changed". The password, however, didn't change.
I tested poppassd by: telnet localhost 106 then received: "Connection was closed by foreign host".
I tested by console:
$ poppassd
200 poppassd v1.8.3 hello, whoare you?
user test
200 your password please
password test
500 Old password incorrect.
But the password of user is correct. I don't know why. Please help.
