You probably didn't specify the correct db format for the files in your
horde vacation configuration.

Do a "file" command on the resulting .db files from the above command.  That
will tell you what format of .db file you need.  Then configure the horde
vacation app to use that format.  (If by some chance it uses a format not
supported, then send us a copy of the files and we'll add it).
