[sork] Re: passwd on FC3 (Eric Rostetter)

Thanks, Eric,

I tried to use poppassd for Linux password, and smbpasswd for smb password.
There is no error to use poppassd, but the password did not get changed.
When using smbpasswd through horde/passwd, horde/passwd shows "Failure in
changing password on smbpasswd server for Windows Folder". " smbpasswd
server for Windows Folder " is the driver description in passwd
configuration.
I am thinking that it's related to security configuration. There should be
some differences between FC2 and FC3. But I don't know how to configure it,
or I don't really understand a lot of FC3 security implementation.

Howard You

In what sense are they not working? Blank screen in web browser, error in
web browser, error in web server logs or horde logs? No errors, but
password
not changed?

Really could be about anything. Need to know more details to even try to
help.

When you configure Horde, tell it to use IMP login (application login
with IMP being the application) for authentication. Not sure how to
do this with Horde 4 yet, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Filters were moved to a separate module called Ingo. You'll need to
install Ingo to get filters now.

Sure, but neither of these questions belongs on the Sork mailing list.
You should use the Horde and/or IMP mailing lists instead for questions
not related to sork.

I would guess that is because you aren't including the realm/domain in
the authentication.

If your server supports ftp to home directories, and your mail software
requests .forward files, then this is the correct driver. If those
conditions are not met, then it is the wrong driver.

What version of Horde and vacation are you using?

I don't think there is currently a way to do this like there is for the
blacklist/whitelist functions - if the ingo driver supports
vacation/forwards they're there. A patch to improve this would be
great, an enhancement ticket on bugs.horde.org would be fine.

Short term you can modify getMenu() in lib/Ingo.php...

After a bit more poking around today, it looked like the easiest way to
do thiat
was comment out these two lines in the lib/Script/procmail.php:

    /**
     * The categories of filtering allowed.
     *
     * @var array $_categories
     */
    var $_categories = array(
        INGO_STORAGE_ACTION_BLACKLIST,
        INGO_STORAGE_ACTION_WHITELIST
//        INGO_STORAGE_ACTION_VACATION,
//        INGO_STORAGE_ACTION_FORWARD
    );

I added the Vacation and Forward programs to the Ingo menu, and things
at least
look the way I think they should.

Thanks

DC
