Probably you didn't set the correct DB type for your vacation installation.
You need to configure it to create the proper type of DB for your installation.

It was probably fixed in the last 3 years... :)

I would guess so, but you need to tell it the correct DB type for it to work.
Instructions should be in the docs/INSTALL file.
