[sork] Problem with Forwards configuration

Basically correct. You must have a ftp server running somewhere (some server)
which has access to the user's home directories.  You also need a mail
delivery program (MTA) which supports the use of .forward files in the
user's home directory.  The ftp server must allow login via the user's
e-mail username and password as you suggest.

You should be able to set it to use any database you want.
