I seem to have been able to get around this first issue now, by using
Debian packages from http://www.dotdeb.org/. This gives me a newer
version of PHP (5.2.5).

Now I have another problem that my SyncML session stops after some kind
of "invalid response from server" (directly translated from Norwegian).
I get this message on my phone after it has tried to send some 60
instances from my calendar on the phone to the Horde SyncML server.

If anyone have some kind of solution/tip to what to do to have Horde
with SyncML on Debian Etch, please send some feedback.
