[sync] SyncML success despite Error?

When having a definition mismatch in LDAP configuration I get a 
SynML-Error in Horde log:
SyncML: Error in adding client entry due to replace request:Query 
failed: (87) Bad search filter

Dispite that, I get a successful sync reportet back to the mobile device 
(Nokia N90) and the following message in the Horde log:
SyncML: Successful sync of ./contacts! Summary: failures=1;


Is this correct behaviour?
Or is it a bug?
On which side? Horde? Nokia?
