apparently because Omnis doesn't consider your data worthy of backing up
and you didn't understand the importance of them doing that and taking
steps to assure your data - meaning, turba has an export feature to
export the data to a local file that you can keep for use for many
reasons, including backup.

Likewise, turba will import a file. Thus you could probably just use a
spreadsheet like Excel and enter your data and then save it as a 'comma
separated file' and import that into turba when you are ready to do your
mailing. That way, you have the data on your system just in case.

As for the hope and or your data that is 'lost' - ask Omnis to provide
you with a dump of your data and the pertinent sql log for the day prior
and the day of the data loss.
