Hi Brett,
try using the new sources.php from Turba 2.1.1

You will note that the lines :

     'params' => array(  
         'phptype' => 'mysql',  
         'hostspec' => 'localhost',  
         'username' => 'root',               
         'password' => '*****',  
         'database' => 'horde',  
         'table' => 'turba_objects',  
         'charset' => 'iso-8859-1'    

are commented out. So, you need to let that commented and configure
horde the right way.

Another thing you can do is compare your old .sql export and check that the
columns are the same as in the mysql-create.sql your first executed on 
the clean DB.
