Yup, I agree.  I was doing it there to see if I could get it working 
without having to muck with Exif.php.

If you think that it's worth the effort, I can rewrite Exif.php and 
submit a patch.  I was doing it more as a proof-of-concept that it could 
be done with the native PHP calls.
