I've attached an updated patch to the bug system for issue #2.

This patch now, if schema checking is enabled, queries the LDAP schema on
the ldap server to determine if the attribute is a postal address syntax
and if so, applies the conversion of the data.  If ldap schema checking is
disabled then it will fall back relying on the configuration in
attributes.php.

This also renames the checkrequired, and checkrequired_string
configuration parameters to checkschema and checkschema_string (as they
sound more applicable to what they do..)
