[dev] How to keep IMP from blocking other apps

Group,

sorry for the confusion I caused. The preferred solution to the given
problem is to configure a short timeout to IMP's IMAP server connection.
Other than I was convinced this is possible out of the box in file
backends.local.php, parameter 'timeout' inside the $servers['imap']
definition.
