I had the same "problem", just have a look in /etc/locale.gen, there you
have to enter all languages
you need (standard there is only one entry for english language), after
this run locale-gen. Then gettext should work

Subject: Summary instead of login on first access
Hello!
I've configured Horde to use imp for authentication (removed the
comments on the two first imp-lines in registry.php) and it works
good.
As it is now I get the login-screen from IMP when I access /horde for
the first time (i.e. not yet logged in). Instead of this I wants to
get the summary-view at the first access to /horde. Is this
possible? How do I configure it?
I use horde, imp, kronolith, nag and turba from CVS. They are all
updated on 7th november.
/Andreas

How do you want to show the summary screen if user isn't yet logged in?

I've added a part to the summary-screen with general/public
information. I've also modified kronolith to mark events as public,
i.e. they should be seen in the summary view, without requiering that
you are logged in.

I this case you should also modify /horde/index.php to not redirect users
to login.php if they don't have authenticated yet.
