[horde] Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object

hi,  
  i'm getting the following message when trying to open an imp mail item:  
   
  "Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in  
 /var/www/horde/lib/MIME/Contents.php on line 548"  
   
  all horde & application versions are the latest from HEAD,  all  
  "conf.phps" have been updated from "xx.dists" and test.php reports all up to  
  date  
    
  any help as to where the problem might be would be appreciated.
