I just finished installing horde on SuSE 8.1, it took a week of hunt (more
like two months and three distros later) and poke to get the packages
installed and configured then upgrade pear to a version that could be
installed by a mere mortal. The lack of a single configuration point had me
going for a bit with horde.php, I'm up for creating a front-end for the
configuration files. The new version of go-bat for pear works great for
Linux, not so great for Windows. MCAL needs to be updated to work for
Windows.

Subject: [horde] horde installer
It would be great to have a Horde installer just like the pear installer
interface.
i didn't see any horde project like that, if someone is interested i could
help but not
lead a project (too busy right now).
perharps the installer could check depends on other projects and
auto-upgrade horde core
and its modules.
well it is just an idea or feature request what ever.
the truth is that i'm just one of thoose bleeding-egde guys with no time =)
and it would be great to have a horde tool to do the hardwork.
perhaps this could be done with CVS and a frozen code of the lastest stable
release.
any way a horde installer is nicer than that =D.
greets, keep up the good work.
ps: thanks for the software, i really mean it.. it kronolith helps me a lot!
