[horde] session timeout doesnt work in galeon

hello all,
I am using hode-imp for my cyrus imap server on redhat 7.2

I wanted to change the default session timeout period

In my php.ini file I have set
session.gc_probability = 100
session.gc_maxlifetime = 600     ( ten minutes) 

Now the timeout seems to work fine with IE and mozilla browser , But
strangely enough one client complains the his session never times out He
is using a galeon browser on linux

Is that something to do with the browser setting or is there something I
am missing on the server
