[horde] Login fails using passwd driver.

Dear List:

I was trying to login using passwd driver.  Login always fails.  The  
following are the only parameters which get added in the configuration  
file w.r.t. auth.

$conf['auth']['params']['filename'] = '/etc/passwd';
$conf['auth']['params']['lock'] = true;
$conf['auth']['driver'] = 'passwd';

But, I checked in mailing list, Jan talks about setting cyrpt method.   
I did not see parameter which is configurable through Setup->horde  
screens.  Please give me some hint to configure the same.
