[horde] Can't log in to IMP Horde 5.0.4...

I'm getting thrown back to the imp login screen.  An error that the mail
server cannot be connected to is popping up.  I've tried pine on the
server and connected to the dovecot 2 server no problem.  The frontend
system with the web server is CentOS 6.x where the backend running the
database is running Slackware 13.37.  The test.php script connects to
dovecot no problem.  I think this is a database problem, but I'm not
sure how to troubleshoot that.  Let me know if this information is not
helpful or if more information is needed.  Thank you.
