No... this is correct.  Mailboxes do *NOT* live under INBOX.

I can guarantee you that this account has a personal namespace of  
'INBOX.'.  We do NOT display personal namespace information (for  
obvious reasons - namespaces are not meant for user display).  Thus  
'Inbox' and 'Inbox.A' are on the same level when displaying.
