    I was a bit hasty in my cut and paste. When Netscape is used, the
download works, and this is the reply apache sends:

HTTP: ----- HyperText Transfer Protocol -----
HTTP:
HTTP: HTTP/1.1 200 OK
HTTP: Date: Wed, 29 Nov 2000 16:37:52 GMT
HTTP: Server: Apache/1.3.9 Ben-SSL/1.37 (Unix) PHP/4.0.2 AuthMySQL/2.20
HTTP: X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.2
HTTP: Set-Cookie: chuckmIMPlang=en; expires=Thu, 29-Nov-01 16:37:52 GMT;
path=/
HTTP: Expires: Thu, 19 Nov 1981 08:52:00 GMT
HTTP: Cache-Control: no-cache, post-check=0, pre-check=0
HTTP: Pragma: no-cache
HTTP: Content-Disposition: attachment;filename="ADMIN20NEW.pdf"
HTTP: Content-Length: 40562
HTTP: Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=97
HTTP: Connection: Keep-Alive
HTTP: Content-Type: application/octet-stream

    I just don't understand why the right headers would be passed out to
netscape but not to IE. Any ideas?
