What php version? Which imap server? It doesn't crash the imap server on my
end, but php corrupts some variables (either password or login -- I still don't
know) thus causing bogus connection attempts to cyrus.

I have this problem with php versions after php-4.0.3pl1 and c-client 4.7c and
2000. Haven't tried 2000a yet, but I don't think it will help. Something was
changed in php-4.0.4dev at one point that caused this and I can't find what it
is. But pointing IMP to the FQDN of the imap host fixes the problem so I'm not
worried about it at the moment. Still doing a lot of digging, but to no avail.
