	I can't think of any inherent reason that this would be infeasible (but
I'm not one of the developers and know almost nothing about the code). 
I'm of two minds, though, about the feature itself.  On the one hand, as
you suggest, it would be very convenient with you have several screens'
worth of messages that you want to nuke at once.  OTOH, it seems like
there's a substantial danger of deleting messages that you didn't intend
to delete this way.  Perhaps if this is implemented, it should be done
with an alert window or something.
