temporarily changing sorting criteria

Hi,

a 'feature' of imp that I don't like very much is the fact that it stores the 
sorting criteria in the prefs if you click on a column header in the mailbox 
view.
This prevents me from using this feature to change the sorting criteria only 
temporarily. An example: My standard sorting createria is the incoming date 
(because the message date calculation doen't work though I set a timezone in 
prefs. A bug?) But if my quota gets too high I delete the largest messages and 
change the sorting for that. I always have to change my sorting in prefs after 
that because there's no column for the arriving date.
How about 'remembering' a sorting criteria change only for the time I view a 
certain folder? If I choose another folder the sorting restores back to what 
I've stored in my prefs.

Any thoughts?
