[imp] mail attachment problem & SSL !

I aswell get the same eternal downloadtime, when using Netscape
6.1, but I.E 5.5 gives me the described problem.
Oh, and in the beginning of my tests I also *sometimes* got
a complaint on the variable attachemnt_size not beeing defined.
