Incorrect message index count

Hi,

I'm running IMP 2.2.6 on a Red Hat 7 machine with php-4.0.4pl1-9 and
courier-imap 1.3.11.  All the packages I'm using were installed from
SRPMs or RPMs including Horde/IMP (1.2.4/2.2.4 before being patched).
Any help/pointers will be much appreciated.

Some givens:  20 messages per index window, 259 messages in folder

The problem:

1) Open message no. 101.
2) Index (on upper left) says I'm reading message no. 160 of 259.
3) Open message no. 259.
4) Index says I'm reading message no. 318 of 259 (index jump is
   consistent).
5) Deleting this message (or any message incorrectly numbered beyond
   259) while in the read window, results in an "undefined index"
   warning but the message gets deleted.

Additional (strange) data:
1) The ranges (on the upper right) in the message index windows are
   always correct.
2) Deleting message 100 while reading it opens message 101 and it is
   correctly numbered.
