IMP 2.2.x to 3.0.x DataBase Upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade the IMP 2.2 database to 3.0?  I've spent the 
better part of today trying to find references to the new db structure with 
no luck.  I am running postrgesql.

I backed up my existing db and installed it on a test server.  I verified 
that it backed up/restored correctly by pointing my IMP 2.2 to it 
temporarily.  I then configured my 3.0 installation to point to the 
restored db and tried to log in.  I received the following error:
