a new idea about compose

Hi all:
After reveived a forward mail ,there are many ">"
characters in contents,sometime i like these mails and
want to shared(forward) with other friends,but i don't
like the ">".
   Is it possible in compose window,add a new function
to remove all the ">" characters ?
