[imp] Strange IMP issue

Here is the issue:

Under Identities, I enable "save sent mail".
I go to compose screen and I uncheck "Save a copy in sent-mail"
I send the message and I find a copy of the sent message in my sent-mail folder.

Can anyone give me a clue? I am not sure what to look for?

I am using IMP 3.0 in production with thousands of users.
