[imp] Thread view and new messages

It seems that the thread view always defaults to going to the end of the list 
of messages...Is it possible to change this so that if there are new messages 
in the mailbox, it goes to the page that has new messages and keeps on going 
until there are no more new messages?  I really like this view but as it stands 
it is not very usable.
