[imp] Authentication problems

I am currently IMP with the following versions:

* Horde 2.2
* IMP 3.1
* PHP 4.3.2

I am having problems with IMP authenticating to our local IMAP server
(which uses Kerberos authentication). Kerberos is set up so if a user
attempts a bad password 10 times, it will lock the account. However, I am
noticing that when a user enters a bad password when logging in (either
intentional or accidental) from the IMP login page, it attempts to try
using the bad password to authenticate against the IMAP server multiple
times. The user will eventually get back the login page with the login
error message after several seconds. It will try sometimes 2, 3, or 4
times (seems to be random). Is there something the IMP/Horde/PHP
configuration that controls this "feature" so it will only try the bad
password once?
