[imp] IMP 3.2 compatibility question

Hello all

This is my first message to this list, in fact I learnt about Horde project
just an hour ago and now I am thinking in terms of implementing IMP 3.2 for
webmail on my server.   Currently I have a pop3d server that fetches email
from Qmail, my operating system is Redhat 8.0 on a Pentium II 333MHz box.  I
am wondering if IMP supports pop3d or do I need to switch to IMAP server
first?  Any suggestions, comments and references most welcome.
