Thunderbird 1.5.0.5 complies with RFC 2231
<http://rfc-ref.org/RFC-TEXTS/2231/chapter4.html>.
Apparently, you are using an obsolete Imp version
that does not comply with RFC 2231.
I do not know why the authors of RFC 2231 have
invented a completely new scheme rather than amending
RFC 2047's encoded-word syntax with a language at-
tribute -- but so it is, and your e-mail programs
have to comply with it.
