In English i believe either "e-mail" or "email" is correct. As a 
contraction for "electronic mail", "e-mail" was the original spelling. 
But as with many contracted hyphenated words that become common usage, 
the hyphen is lost. I'm not sure why "T-shirt" still uses a hyphen; 
that word is common enough that i'd expect the hyphen to be lost, 
though i'm not actually sure what, if anything, the "T" represents. I 
think losing the hyphen in contracted words is a similar process to 
acronyms that lose their capitalization: MODEM, SCUBA, and RADAR are 
usually written simply as modem, scuba, and radar.

Personally, i prefer "e-mail" with the hyphen. But as long as one is 
consistent within the same document, it doesn't really matter.
