No. That's what synchronization is about: it does *not* create  
duplicates but updates existing entries if anything changes.

None of this is really server-to-server synchronization. The wiki is  
about getting the Horde SyncML server to work on SME. The first forum  
entry is about server-to-client-to-server synchronization, and the  
second about creating Funambol server connectors for Horde (which I  
still think doesn't make sense).
